Felix da Housecat is a House music DJ and record producer. Felix is regarded as a member of the second wave of Chicago house. He entered the dance music elite not only via his recordings (under a number of aliases, including Thee Maddkatt Courtship, Aphrohead and Sharkimaxx), but also for his ownership of Radikal Fear Records, one of the premiere Chicago labels of the 1990s.

2001 saw the release of Kittenz and Thee Glitz, a critically-acclaimed LP that gained Felix mainstream exposure and worldwide coverage in dance music and fashion circles, and has often been mentioned as one of the pioneering releases of the electro clash movement. The ensuing fame brought Felix widespread popularity and remix work for superstars like Madonna and Kylie Minogue. The proper follow-up, Devin Dazzle & the Neon Fever, didn’t arrive until 2004, but Stallings released a pair of mix albums, 2002′s Excursions and 2003′s A Bugged Out Mix, in between.

“Future Calls The Dawn” was released on July 9, 2007 on Wall of Sound/PIAS with “Sweet Frosti” featured as the B-side. “Sweetfrosti” contains a sample of Devo’s “Snowball”, originally released in 1981.

“Like Something for Porno” is released as the album’s lead single on Sep.24th with remixes from Kris Menace, Teenage Bad Girl and Armand Van Helden. The music video is currently viewable on Felix da Housecat’s MySpace page. (Taken from www.wikipedia.org).

Two of the great cinema producers of upturned politics explore the intimate writing of the city in their maturity: with a small video camera, Marker follows a cat’s tracks painted on some buildings in Paris, and makes a satirical, light-hearted tale of life in the city’s streets; closed in a room in Berlin, before the images on a television set, Kramer reflects on the representation of history and the memory of Nazism and the horrors.

The young Japanese today are characterized by their extravagant dress or by their dreams of obtaining luxury articles, as part of a search for identity. Tomoko Sawada, one of the most innovative and talented artists of her generation, questions this phenomenon with its infinite metamorphoses in the series of photographs in which she gets inside the skin of hundreds of Japanese girls.

The work of Tomoko Sawada (Kobe, 1977) is open to a number of sociological and psychological interpretations. The way her lens captures dozens of Japanese girls and women of different ages and social classes raises in the most natural way the question of the place occupied by Japanese females in society, the possibilities that each one has of achieving an individual identity, and the way in which dress can help to individualize them or, on the contrary, confirm their membership of a group. The show will surprise the audience, with the battle between the magician and Jean Claude Lavache. A duel of appearances and disappearances, of surprises, to confuse, reaching the point where it is difficult to decide what is real and what imaginary.

The Triple Concerto for piano, violin, cello and orchestra by Beethoven is considered one of his ‘ minor’s masterpieces .

It was composed between 1803 and 1804, coinciding in time with the creation of works such as the symphony ‘Heroic’, and the piano sonatas’ Waldstein ‘and’ Appassionata ‘.

In 1992, Alejandro Fernández released his debut, self-titled album, launching one of the most prolific, successful and memorable careers in Latin music.

He has released 15 albums and selling more than 12 million copies along the way thanks to a magnificent, velvety voice and an unparalleled stage presence. With stage fright long forgotten, Alejandro has even forayed into film, most recently portraying Mexican hero Zapata in the acclaimed film by Oscar-winning director Alfonso Arau (“Like Water for Chocolate).

In 2005 Alejandro launches MEXICO MADRID EN DIRECTO Y SIN ESCALAS (Mexico – Madrid Nonstop). the production features Fernandez performing some of his biggest hits accompanied by a 28-piece orchestra and some of Spain’s most important voices on three of the songs: Amaia of La Oreja de Van Gogh joins him on the “Me dedique a perderte” ; Malu duets with him on “Contigo Aprendi”, and flamenco star Diego Cigala and Fernandez perform a moving version of Como quien pierde una estrella, accompanied on cajon by famed Flamenco guitarist Niño Josele.

The Harlem Globetrotters is an exhibition basketball team that combines athleticism and comedy.

Created by Abe Saperstein in 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the team adopted the name Harlem because of its connotations as a major African-American community. Over the years they have played more than 20,000 exhibition games in 118 countries.

This monographic exhibition by Lothar Baumgarten (who lives and works in Berlin and New York) brings together a series of photographic works, with single images as well as sequences forming part of this complex presentation. While not considering itself to be a retrospective, the show includes sculpture, projection, wall drawings, books and film from the late 1960s to the present day—some of which is adapted in situ to the architectural conditions of the MACBA.

Autofocus retina is the name of this presentation, but it is also the title of a configuration consisting of four diamonds shaped mirrors connoting the inner mechanics of a camera lens, its photographic eye. As we know, without the forming frame format, each photograph would be circular. Chromatic and geometric compositions are set within the more singular places in the museum, where architectural space is understood as if it were a blank page. Imago Mundi (L’autre et L’ailleurs), (1988, 2008), a piece which transforms the museum’s glass facade into a prism and explores the pretension of photographic language to establish itself as a universal truth.
