27 years, 8 months, 14 days is the prison sentence that was given to a women charged for killing her husband, and it is the name that Vida Yovanovich choose for this exhibition.

Vida Yovanovich, Mexican photographer, brings us portraits of women who are confronting a new period: prison, a cycle which began because they had taken the lives of their partners. Once again she invites us to stop to look at and listen to women who have been almost nullified by society.

She also asks us how long these women should pay for the person that took life away from them, and how long is needed to heal the wounds sustained along the way. (Taken from www.adn.es and www.bcn.cat)
