The collection of pictures taken by the reporter Bru Rovira all over the world reflects the tender relationship between mothers and sons.

Everything started in Africa. In the refugee camp of Kuito, in Angola, in the middle of the hunger, and the the horror of a civil war, the photographer Bru Rovira discovered a mother who played with her baby. A flash of tenderness and of hope in the middle of the cruelty.

Bru Rovira, writer of “La Vanguardia and winner of the Ortega Gasset Journalist Prize, was moved by this image. “The mother, who was not more than 15 years old, played with the baby boy, eating him through her kisses, absent to the human drama that surrounded her“.

That was the first image, but not the last one. From that moment, Bru Rovira attempted to pick up this universal feeling which it is the motherhood in all the corners of the world that he visited. (Taken from  http://www.bcn.es).
