Pina Bausch is a german modern dance choreographer and a leading influence in the development of the Tanztheater style of dance. She is the artistic director and choreographer of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch company, based in Wuppertal in Germany. The company has a large repertoire of original pieces, and regularly tours throughout the world.

Her work is also known for infusing humor with sadness. Male-female interaction is a theme found throughout her work, which has been an inspiration for-and reached a wider audience through-the movie Talk to Her, directed by Pedro Almodóvar. Her pieces are constructed of short units of dialogue and action, often of a surreal nature.

Pina Bausch was awarded in 2008 with the Goethe Prize of Frankfurt-am-Main.

Erre Danza” (Dance) offers us a reflection about the begining and the ending of love. Based on reflections of writers as Álvaro Pombo, Harold Pinter or Haruki Murakami.

Based on intuition and in the elaboration and development of diverse components: images, movement, time, body… to awake sensations and emotions in the spectator.

Seeking not common places about the idea of love, “Erre que Erre” makes an analytic and scientific analysis of the processes of falling in love and disaffection.  (Taken from www.compostelacultura.org and www.tnc.cat)
