Carlos Núñez is internationally regarded as an extraordinary MUSICIAN who stands among the most earnest and brilliant in the world. But he is also a true ARTIST. His charisma, energy and pioneering spirit have made him very popular, while he has gone far beyond the usual limits of his instruments: the bagpipe and the recorders.

He has received countless awards and nominations: a Grammy which he shared with his teachers, the Chieftains, for their album “Santiago”; Premio Ondas (Spain); Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik (Germany); two nominations to the Latin Grammy Awards, etc.

He has also attained commercial success: his first three albums have reached platinum record status in Spain, and his sales near a million copies world-wide. (Taken from www.syntorama.com and www.elpozodestirling.blogspot.com).

MARC ANTHONY is the most influential artist of his generation. And indeed the most eclectic, becoming not only the biggest selling salsa singer of all time, but a great theater and film actor and a producer as well.

He started writing songs in his teens. In 1991, he teamed up with producer and DJ Little Louie Vega to record When the Night Is Over, a Latin r&b and hip-hop album featuring guest appearances by Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri. It created such a stir that maestro Puente invited him to be the opening act at a Madison Square Garden concert to celebrate Puente’s 100th album release. That was the start of:

  • Over 10 million albums sold worldwide
  • Awarded over 12 Latin and Standard gold and platinum certifications by the RIAA
  • Has won a total of 16 “Premio Lo Nuestro” Awards in the span of his career.  Holding the record of winning the most “Premios Lo Nuestro” Awards of all artists
  • 2005 Latin Grammy Winner - Best Latin Pop Album of the Year (Amar Sin Mentiras)
  • 2005 Latin Grammy Winner - Best Tropical Album of the Year (Valio La Pena)
  • 1999 Latin Grammy Winner - Song of the Year (”Dimelo”)
  • 1998 Grammy Winner - Best Latin/Tropical Performance (Contra La Corriente)

Ian Brown is an English musician and former lead singer of the Madchester band The Stone Roses.

Since the band’s acrimonious and prolonged break up in 1996, Brown has released five solo albums. He has appeared on several club tours and has performed at the Glastonbury Festival three times since 1998.

He is considered to be an influential artist and has had twelve UK top 40 singles. In the 2006 NME awards, Brown was presented with the “Godlike Genius” award. He said that as well as his work with the Stone Roses, he considered the track “F.E.A.R.” to be one of his moments of genius.

In October 2006, Brown made a surprising move to headline the Rockit Hong Kong Music Festival held outdoors in Victoria Park HK. During the two-day event and prior to his appearance on stage he strolled around anonymously and mingled with members of the crowd. His eventual stage performance was hailed by the South China Morning Post and other local newspapers as a great success.

In September 2007, Brown released his fifth studio album, The World Is Yours. The album represented a more political approach in his music, particularly the anti-war single, Illegal Attacks. (Taken from www.wikipedia.org)
